Showjumping Entries for Tokyo Olympics
The British Equestrian and the British Showjumping selectors have confirmed the nine showjumping athletes and their horse including three reserves, that have been selected to go forward to the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) as Team GB nominated entries for the showjumping competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The nominated entries are:-
- Scott Brash with Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham’s Hello Jefferson
- Harry Charles with Ann Thompson and his own Romeo 88
- William Funnell with The Billy Stud’s Equine America Billy Diamo
- Ben Maher with Charlotte Rossetter, Pamela Wright and his own Explosion W
- Emily Moffitt with Poden Farms and Neil and Heidi Moffitt’s Winning Good
- Holly Smith with Ian Dowie’s Denver
- Alexandra Thornton with Dunwalke Ltd’s Cornetto K
- Ellen Whitaker with Norman Oley’s Arena UK Winston
- James Wilson with Heather Larson and Susan Larson’s Imagine de Muze
The following two riders have horses as direct reserves for their horses named above:
Scott Brash – first reserve: Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham’s Hello Senator and second reserve: Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham’s Hello Vincent
Harry Charles – first reserve: Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein and Peter Charles’ Irenice Horta
The above list can be amended at any time up until 21st June 2021 dependant on both rider and horse fitness and performance. There will be a squad team of four as well as reserves that travel to Tokyo. This will be announced on 28th June 2021.
