Royal Ascot 2021 – Flat Racing

Royal Ascot 2021 is set to go ahead from Tuesday 15th June to Saturday 19th June 2021. This meeting brings 5 days of the best flat racing horses in the world. The first race meet held at Ascot was in 1768 with The Gold Cup being introduced in 1807. The Gold Cup is still today the feature race of the third day of Royal Ascot week. Each day of the meet starts with the Royal Procession where the Queen and members of the Royal Family arrive by carriage down the track and into the enclosure.

The meeting is part of the Events Research Programme on behalf of sport and therefore means that 12,000 spectators will be welcomed to the course each day. Royal Ascot 2021 can be watched on television on ITV, who will be following the action throughout the week.
