Les 4 Etoiles De Pau – 24th – 28th October 2018

Pau is a four-star eventing competition held in France. World class athletes take part in completing in dressage, cross country and show jumping. The dressage tests the obedience and discipline of the horse and rider. The cross-country phase takes places over a 6,500-meter course where the horse and rider have to jump over 30 fixed fences. The final day of competition tests agility and accuracy in the 1.30m show jumping phase.

This year the competition was won by Frenchman Thibault Fournier riding Siniani De Lathus, who became the youngest ever winner of the competition aged 23 years old. It was also both Thibault and his horse’ first ever 4* event. Gemma Tattersall riding Pamero 4 placed 2nd finishing on their dressage score of 29.9. Third place went to 4* first timer Clara Loiseau riding Wont Wait.
