Selling our beloved horse due to lack of jockey, sale of land and other time commitments.
Rupert is a 6 year old 16.2 chestnut Tb gelding who raced but was 2 slow and was retired after a few races. We got him in June 2019 and he started his reeducation – goes beautifully on the flat and has a good jump. He hacks out alone or In company but isn’t a novice ride due to his age. Rupert has done dressage competitions, been hunting and done lots of trail rides. He is good to box, travel, clip, groom, bath and for the vet, winky washer, saddle fitter etc. He needs mild sedation for the farrier due to a bad experience and is up to date with worming, jabs and feet. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with kissing spine and mild ulcers in January 2022 – ulcers are managed with lots of turnout (lives happily out either alone or in a mixed herd) and had a steroid injection for his spine which the vet has been pleased with. His rehab was going well but due to a new job my daughter doesn’t have enough time for this and I don’t have enough experience so he needs a lovely home where he can be given the time he needs to return back to the fantastic riding horse he was.
He has a brand new fitted saddle and full wardrobe available by separate negotiation. Open to sensible offers and a lovely home.
