This is Jimmy, he’s a 7 year old, 16’2 OTTB. This is an extremely hard sale as he has my whole heart but due to personal circumstances I no longer have the time or confidence to produce him to his full potential.
Jimmy raced a total of 9 times, he retired due to being too slow. He retired sound in 2020. I’ve had him since July 2021, I took him to a trainer for a month for schooling training.
In 2022 Jimmy had kissing spine surgery (9 lig snips) he had extensive rehabilitation, including water treadmill, in a specialist yard and made a full recovery. He has regular check ups with a physio and saddle fitter and there are no concerns.
Jimmy has 3 nice paces, he will often pick up the wrong canter lead but will correct this on his own. Jimmy works well in a contact and uses his back well. Jimmy has jumped a few times and shows promise with a confident rider. Jimmy enjoys group hacking and loves a good canter through the woods. He’s hacked alone once with me and he was good as gold. He is good in traffic.
Jimmy is very sensitive and gets his confidence from his rider. He is therefore not a novice ride. He loves lots of cuddles, kisses and of course, treats! I’m looking for someone who wants a project with the time and patience to produce him to his full potential.
He’s up to date with vaccinations and wormer and had the dentist recently. He’s got an upcoming physio appointment.
Good to load and shoe. Has been know to crib.
Will come with tack and rugs.
