Hazel is an 8 Year-old cob who has arrived with me for sales livery from her owner who has had her since a young horse so knows all of her history and this is a very sad sale. Unfortunately due to work and family commitments, Hazel is being sold. She stands at around 14hh and is a very chunky sort with lots of hair, and will have alot of feather.
Hazel has very low milage for her age as she has been given time to grow and mature and hasn’t been rushed meaning she could go in any direction with any rider and ultimately make a very nice horse. She is up to date with everything and is currently barefooted and has been her entire life.
Under saddle, Hazel is green in the school but shows to be willing with 3 lovely, straight paces. She is good in traffic and is good to hack in company. She can be slightly more reluctant to hack alone and will require a confident rider or a confident novice to push her forward. She is not nasty, she just becomes more hesitant so requires leg. She is a forward hack and not a typical kick along plod. She has been ridden in both english and western tack. She has been freejumped over jumps and shows to have a very neat, careful technique. She is not the type that requires daily riding, she can be picked up and dropped easily. She has been off work for a few months due to the owners lack of time. As she develops here, I will begin to introduce her to rustic type fences. She will also continue to school and be brought into regular work.
She prefers living out but will stable with her friends in sight. She is good in the field and can be turned out with anything.
She is good with the vet, farrier ect. She loads well but sometimes may require hoaxing with a bucket of feed and then will come up. She travels well in either lorry or trailer and spent two days traveling to me.
I feel with time she could make a very nice child’s middle pony, or equally a nice show pony. She will come with saddle pads, a treeless saddle and a bridle.
