Princess Charlotte wants a pony for Christmas

Princess Charlotte apparently has asked for a pony for Christmas! Charlotte, who is now 4 years old, is said to be obsessed with horses – like her royal relatives, Great Grandmother the Queen, Princess Anne and Zara Phillips, who won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympic games.

Prince William has raised concerns about giving Charlotte a pony for Christmas because he feels that she is too young. At THEx we feel that you are never too young to fall in love with a pony!

The Queen is often seen out riding around the Windsor Estate. William, Kate and their family are often seen enjoying a day out watching Zara compete in eventing. Prince Philip has also enjoyed playing polo – passing his passion onto Charles and in turn William and Harry.

The Royal Family all enjoy a trip to the races, the highlight of the year being Royal Ascot week. In 2013, the Queen’s horse Estimate, ridden by Ryan Moore and trained by Sir Michael Stoute won the Ascot Gold Cup. Estimate’s victory was the first time the Ascot Gold Cup has been won by a reigning monarch.
