Fronarth Pearl’s Pride (Sapphire).

Sapphire is a very pretty 14yo 14hh registered Welsh Section D mare with great breeding (from Fronarth Pearl (Dam) and Calerux Telynor (Sire)).
Has bred three foals in previous homes and coped well. Due to her being used as a broodmare, she was a late starter (age 8).

Sapphire is not a novice ride.

She has been ridden by myself since June 2018, being both schooled and hacked. She has also attended a number of competitions (in-hand/ridden showing, dressage, show jumping and working hunter) – achieving Champions/Reserve Champions, and very regularly being placed.

Schooling:
She has spent most of the year and a half being schooled/jumping in our outdoor arena. Three lovely paces and works in an outline. Works well on the lunge. Easily capable of jumping a 2ft9 course. However, Sapphire can occasionally be sharp and unpredictable, which has proved too much for myself. With the correct jockey (confident and competent), she works fantastically – please message for further information regarding this.

Hacking:
Sapphire is happy to go out hacking, but prefers to do so in the company of other horses. Will canter in front or behind, however needs reassurance from her rider that it is safe to do so. Generally fine with traffic, had a few startles from large horseboxes which again means she requires reassurance.

Easy to catch and can live in or out. Prefers to be in the company of others when turned out – at her previous home she was turned out in a large group of horses, with myself she had her own paddock but can socialise with others over fencing.

Has scars on both front legs from an injury in a previous home. These do not affect her, but if you are intending to show her, they need blacking out. Sapphire has also recently been diagnosed with EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome) which is manageable with Metformin and a limited amount of grass each day – she will be sold with a reasonable supply of Metformin.

With continued schooling and a confident jockey, she could make a lovely ridden pony. Otherwise, I feel she may be best suited as an in-hand show pony or companion pony.

Green Welsh Pony and Cob Society passport.

Up to date with her vaccs, dentist and farrier.
