Rufus is looking for a new home! He’s a lovely chap but just wasn’t right for me after a year of having him.
He is roughly 16.2hh 9 yrs old shire x cob. Despite his age, he is still green and I have just not had the time to continue his education. Previously Rufus has been a therapy horse and is absolutely fantastic with children and impeccably behaved on the ground! He loves a fuss and would stand all day to be groomed and cuddled. While he has been with me he’s done lots of hacking he can hack by himself but needs a good confident rider to get him past any antics, he’ll happily hack In a group behind. He is not the biggest fan of the school, however recently has had a little walk and trot around in it and with the right person further his education I’m an arena.
He can sometimes be a bit silly, and can backup when he doesn’t want to go past something but with encouragement and trust he’s a good boy.
He is a happy hacker through and through, but has the potential to do hunts and definitely sponsored rides! He has been out cross country and popped a few small jumps which he absolutely LOVED! He’s incredible with children and has had complete novices sit on him for a little lead around even when people are shouting and being loud, he just doesn’t care.
He loves his hacking and hacks on the buckle majority of the time. He is honestly a lovely horse but just not for me, however he’ll make someone else very very happy!
He’s an angel for the dentist and farrier, good to load. NO novices please because he needs further education and someone to bring out the best in him!
