Star is a very pretty, eye catching pony.
She would suit a competent child / small teen / adult.
Her schooling has been coming on and will work in a contact in both walk & trot nicely. She loves to have things to do in the school to keep her engaged and think about.
She is proving to enjoy jumping, however, this is not something I have done much of and feel that I am a bit too big for her but I really think she could excel in this area. We have been having regular lessons, she has attended pole and gridwork clinics, club camp, been show jumping, competed at dressage. She has been shown at local shows and has done well and appeared to enjoy the atmosphere. Star is the sweetest little mare to handle on the ground. She is easy to clip, she loads and travels well, she’s good with the vet (vaccinations and worming are all up to date), dentist, farrier. She is currently barefoot and manages with no issues.
Star loves her work, especially hacking and will go all day. She is happy to go in the company of other horses, alone or following a bike. She is good in traffic and will let larger traffic pass if she is able to get in and have some space for them to do so. If you do need to get off she takes a lot of comfort from you being on the ground. My daughter has been enjoying hacking her out with me walking beside them with our dog. She’s on a small farm so is used to farm dogs, other horses, sheep, etc.
She is currently out during the day and comes in at night – purely to keep an eye on her weight.
We are looking for a home that will be able to give Star the time and attention she deserves as she really is a sweet little mare who would be able to turn her head to many different disciplines.
Star is very responsive and forward going and can on occasions be a bit fizzy and jog. Therefore, she is not a first pony or suitable for a child coming off lead-rein.
She would be suited to a competent teen/child/ small adult who wants to go out and have some fun.
